Found Money

SFF hopes to assist you in retrieving money that may be owed to you. Oftentimes when someone gives up ownership of a property, money due to them is never collected. There can be a few reasons why a previous owner is owed money. SFF has the expertise in finding out about uncollected money owed to previous property owners, and is able to help you claim your money.

The best part is that you are not charged unless your money is recovered successfully! If you have been contacted, the total estimated money owed to you is no less than $1,500.

Important: If the previous property owner is deceased, their heirs/estate may still be entitled to the uncollected money.

Process Steps:

  • 1. You can contact SFF OR SFF may contact you
    a. If you are a previous property owner, you can contact SFF to see if you are owed money.

    b. SFF also contacts previous owners.

    c. If you have been contacted by SFF, this means you are owed at least $1,500. A more accurate amount will be provided after you become a client.

    c. You will also be asked to execute other documents that are required to complete the collection process. A notary may visit you to ensure the request is not rejected.
  • 3. Request Processing

    b. The retrieveal process may include additional documents that are required by the client to sign. If additional documents are required, you will receive specific instructions and guidance from SFF or our attorney.

    c. Please return all documents immediately as they are needed so the request will not be rejected or delayed.

    d. Once the request has been accepted, you will receive a status update and an estimate as to when to expect your money.
  • 4. Money Retrieval (Owed More Than $10,000)
    a. Once your request is approved, you will be notified.

    b. If you are owed more than $10,000, when the payment is received, SFF will send your funds to you (less 25% plus attorney fees, if any) by check, money order, or direct deposit.

    c. For example, if you are owed $20,000, and the attorney charges $2,000. Your payment will be calculated as follows: $20,000 - $2,000 = $18,000. $18,000 x 75% = $13,500!
